Requirements for obtaining a residence permit in China

Applications for residence permits in China in 2024

Resident permits in China in 2024 can be extended, depending on the purpose of the visit: study, work, private affairs, or family reunion. The validity of the renewed permit cannot exceed that of the first resident permit. How to apply for family residence permit within mainland China?

Chinese tourist visas are available for less than six months through the local Public Security Bureau also known as Hu Kou, where Chinese citizens register their households.
